That is what emotionally makes us feel better by eating chicken soup but there is also the science. Chicken soup has an amino acid in it that helps to thin mucus in the lungs, therefore aids in the healing process.
The first time I saw a recipe for chicken soup using ground chicken was in the New York Times. I adore their contributors and usually jump in with both feet but I honestly find ground chicken and turkey as boring as high school algebra class. All of the ingredients in the recipe looked like perfection so i decided to give it a try.
